First Baptist Church’s Music and Worship Ministry serves to encourage the church in worship and praise. This is a ministry of “passion” — passion for praising and loving God.  Each week, the church family comes together to celebrate the goodness of the Heavenly Father, and offer thanks and praise with joyous hearts and voices. 

You don't have to be a trained professional musician or singer to worship the Lord.  What He cares about
is our hearts and the spirit with which we praise Him!  We're just ordinary people, saved by His grace, who love to praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy.  Our God is an awesome God and worthy of ALL praise.  Whether your interest is in singing, Children’s Music, Drama, instrumental music another area of Worship Arts, we would love to have you be a part of the Worship Ministry at First Baptist.

 WORSHIP TEAM

Each week at First Baptist, our Worship Team leads us in worship through their powerful singing and sincere hearts. More that a group of singers, the Worship Team members
help us focus and direct our worship with their voices and expressions.  They encourage those in the Worship Center to participate; adding hundreds of voices to their own as together we lift our praise to God.

The Worship Team is led by our Worship Pastor.  New members are auditioned regularly.  Although not essential, the ability to read music is extremely helpful.  Sopranos, altos, and tenors make up this team.  Members of the Worship Team are expected to live a lifestyle which honors God and reflects the Lordship of Christ in their lives.

DRAMA

The Drama Ministry functions to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Our Drama Teams present dramas in worship on Sunday mornings to enhance the meaning of the morning message.  Our Worship teams are also the heart of our Dinner Theater presentations.

Members of Drama Teams are members or attenders of First Baptist Church.  Their words and actions must reflect the Lordship of Christ and a loving and encouraging spirit for all members of the Team.

A Place for Everyone
Of course the Drama Ministry has a place and need for actors, but it goes much further.  This team needs a variety of talents.  There is a need for builders, painters, set designers, directors, writers, seamstresses and much more.  If you have a creative or construction talent, chances are there is a place for you in the Drama Ministry of First Baptist Church.

 WELCOME TO FBC TECH

The Technical Ministry of First Baptist Church exists to support the many ministries of First Baptist Church through utilization of sound reinforcement, projection, image magnification, lighting, duplication, listening stations, recording and a growing list of support ministries.  A part of the Worship Ministry, this team uses their talents in the technical arts  and their servant hearts to to God's glory and to reach the lost.
